Misery, sorrow, disillusions and deprivations have made human wisdom as common as similar; while, however, different identities introduce themselves every time as differentiated, diverse and unrepeatable. Unusual shots reveal known dimensions, while the same marginality shows itself in all its distinct, as well as unitary, communicative traits. Salvino’s black and white, making use of a “colour” loved by Rossellini, De Sica, Germi, the first Fellini, as well as famous international photographers of the 20th century, increases the immediateness and the seizing of an image, and gives us back in “real scale” an image of touching human sincerity.
